  • Inhibition of the glycation of collagen fibres

    l-Lysine inhibits the glycation. 

    Flavonoids (Hesperidin) significantly inhibit the collagen fibres from forming a meshwork. 

    Zinc has shown antiglycation properties.

  • Modulation of the degrading enzymes of hyaluronic acid and collagen

    Procyanidines from grape seed extract (Vitis vinifera L.) modulate the activity of collagenase, hyaluronidase and elastase.

  • Inhibition of the oxidative damage of the collagen fibres

    Ascorbic acid and procyanidine are powerful antioxidants in an aqueous environment. 

    Zinc has been shown to provide antioxidative effects and as a co-factor for important enzymes involved in the proper functioning of the antioxidant defence system.

  • Vitamin C 

    Vitamin C is necessary for the growth, development and repair within body tissues. It's involved in many body functions, including formation of collagen, wound healing and is one of many antioxidants that can protect against degenerative damage caused by harmful molecules called free radicals
